Crossing Guard

Description : 
The City of Lincoln Park is hiring for the position of Crossing Guard. A Crossing Guard works approximately 2-3 hours per day, during the school year from September through June. 

A Crossing Guard directs and/or escorts pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary. They must use good judgment while providing safe movement of children, parents and the public across roadways and intersections. Candidates must be able to think and react independently to various situations and have knowledge of basic safety practices. 


  • High School Graduate or G.E.D.
  • Legally employable in the United States
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass written examination, physical with drug screen and fingerprint/criminal history/driving record check
