NEW - EARLY VOTING

By resolution of the City Council the location of the Early Voting site for all federal
and statewide election dates will be :
KENNEDY MEMORIAL BUILDING - 3240 FERRIS AVE
All qualified electors have the right to mark a ballot and deposit the ballot in a tabulator during the nine day period beginning the second Saturday before an election and ending the Sunday before election day. Early voting for the August 6, 2024 Primary & the November 5, 2024 Presidential Elections will be:

Schools are in session and in order to protect our students safety and the security of our schools,
all election day voting precincts will be moved to the
Kennedy Memorial Building - 3240 Ferris Ave.

Since school will not be in session November 5, 2024
voters will vote at their precinct for the Presidential Election

Permanent Precinct Consolidation

As a result of Proposal 22-2 legislation precincts in the City of Lincoln Park have been consolidated.
This means that we have changed from 12 precincts to 6 precincts. We have renumbered all of the precincts from even numbers to odd, so everyone has a new precinct number. Approximately half of you will have a new precinct location.
Remember that due to classes being in session voting on February 27, 2024, May 7, 2024 & August 6, 2024 has been temporarily relocated to the Kennedy Memorial Building, 3240 Ferris.. All election day voting on November 5, 2024 will be at your new precinct. Please click here to view the new Precinct Map.

Visit the Voter Information Center on the Michigan Secretary of State website to locate your voting precinct and preview any upcoming ballots. You can also view our local sample ballot by clicking the above link.

You must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age by election day, a resident of Michigan and live in the City to be registered.

Individuals may register to vote at the age of 17-1/2, in the event that they will be 18 years old by the date of the election in which they wish to vote. High School Seniors who are going to college away from home should take this into consideration.

With the passage of Proposal 22-2 in the November 2022 General Election, registered voters can now request an absentee ballot for all elections. You must complete an application and check the permanent ballot list box. Once you have completed that application you will automatically be sent a ballot for all future elections.

Benefits of being on the Permanent Absent Voter List:

   You will automatically receive an absentee ballot 40 days before every election,
You will avoid potentially long lines at the polls.
   You can take your time studying the ballot and vote from home when you are ready.

Absentee applications are available 75 days before an election.
Absentee ballots are available 40 days before an election.
Applications and ballots may be returned by postal mail or in person. We also have a dropbox outside City Hall and the Community Center that are available for use 24 hours a day .
The deadline for us to mail a ballot is the Friday before an election, however the post office requires 3-5 days for delivery of first-class mail. We recommend that ballots be obtained/returned in person whenever possible within a week of the election.
The Clerk's office is always open the Saturday before an election to issue absentee ballots.
